SUMMARY
Jela Steinerová Information systems in a new paradigm of education and research Changes in scholarly communication having impact on information systems and library work are analyzed. Models of information use in the academic information environment are complex social and technological systems. A new paradigm is based on information behaviour in electronic environment, namely collaboration and interaction. The academic information environment is determined in terms of information sharing. Trends of information seeking, social networks and electronic periodicals are analyzed. Results of the own research project are summarized in a model of relevance 2.0. The significance of knowledge organization and concept maps is emphasized. In conclusion study of information ecology as background for new features of information systems in the academic environment is proposed
